FLIPPED: Texas nabs four-star Florida State commit Daylan McCutcheon
Texas flipped a four-star pass-catcher from Florida State today. 2025 Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy wideout Daylan McCutcheon has flipped to the Longhorns.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound four-star and FSU pledge loved what he watched from the Longhorns when he visited for the Mississippi State game on September 30th.
“I chose the Longhorns because of what they can do offensively and I feel I can contribute to that and I would love to be a part of that,” McCutcheon said.
McCutcheon and Texas wide receivers coach Chris Jackson have been continually getting closer through out the recruiting process. After watching the Horns pass-catchers like Deandre Moore beat Mississippi State, he liked what he saw.
McCutcheon speaks with Texas WR commits Kaliq Lockett and Jaime Ffrench, and is building a bond with Texas four-star QB commit KJ Lacey.

The Metroplex product took an unofficial to Texas A&M for the Bowling Green game as well. But ultimately the DFW product chose the Longhorns.
McCutcheon is ranked as the No. 105 prospect, the No. 14 receiver, and No. 21 player in Texas.
