Game time and date, television network announced for Texas vs. Clemson

For the first time ever, the Texas Longhorns will battle the Clemson Tigers as part of the first round of the 2024 College Football Playoff. And moments after the matchup was revealed, television partner and kickoff time info was released.

Texas and Clemson will battle at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, December 21 at 3 p.m. Central time. The game will be televised by TNT and stream on MAX.
Should the Longhorns win, they would face the Arizona State Sun Devils on January 1 in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on January 1, 2025. That game would be at noon Central on ABC in Atlanta, Ga.
Other College Football Playoff matchups were announced. The Tennessee Volunteers will travel to Columbus, Ohio to face the Ohio State Buckeyes on December 21 for a 7 p.m. Central kick. ESPN and ABC will air the game from Ohio Stadium.
SMU will head to Happy Valley, Penn. to battle the Penn State Nittany Lions on December 21 at 11 a.m. TNT and MAX will stream that contest as well.
The Indiana Hoosiers will travel from Bloomington to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. That game will be on Friday, December 20 and kick off at 7 p.m. Central time.
The winner of Tennessee and Ohio State will face Oregon in the Rose Bowl on January 1 at 4 p.m. Central. ESPN/ABC will televise that game.

The winner of Penn State and SMU will head to Phoenix, Ariz. to face Boise State on December 31 at 6:30 p.m.
Whoever wins the Hoosier State battle between the Hoosiers and the Fighting Irish will travel to New Orleans to face Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. on New Years Day.
Semifinal games will be played at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Fla. or at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The Orange Bowl is scheduled for Thursday, January 9 and will kick at 6:30 p.m. Central. The Cotton Bowl will kick at 6:30 p.m. Central on Friday, January 10. ESPN will air both contests.

The College Football Playoff National Championship is scheduled for Monday, January 20 in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and ESPN will televise the title game.
