The 6-foot-4, 220-pound New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman product escaped the pocket on his first drive and hit Silas Bolden during a scramble for his first touchdown as a Longhorn on Saturday versus Colorado State.

With the Longhorns leading 38-0 late in the third quarter, Steve Sarkisian pull starting quarterback Quinn Ewers from the contest after an impressive day, and it was Archibald time.

On Manning’s first play from scrimmage, he hit Johntay Cook on a slant and go. And Cook was going.

Manning continued the scoring with a two-yard rushing score on the next drive. Overall, his 2024 debut was exactly what Texas fans have been waiting for since the kid from the royal QB family signed in December 2022.
