How Longhorns fared in the NFL during Week 1

Thirty-three players who played at the University of Texas were on NFL rosters of 20 of the league’s 32 teams for Week 1 of the season. Here’s a breakdown of how they fared over the week, with some highlights of performances and updates.

Arizona
Kris Boyd, CB
Boyd had a tackle on a kickoff late in the first half in the season-opening 20-16 loss to Washington.
Geoff Swaim, TE
Swaim played but did not record any stats in the Cardinals’ setback in Washington.
Atlanta
Ta’Quon Graham, DT
Graham started and had one tackle in the Falcons’ 24-10 win at home over Carolina.
Bijan Robinson, RB
Robinson racked up 56 yards on 10 carries and caught six passes for 27 yards including a 17-yard TD in Atlanta’s win against Carolina.
Baltimore
Devin Duvernay, WR
Duvernay played but was not targeted in seven snaps in the Ravens’ 25-9 win over Houston.
Justin Tucker, PK
Tucker nailed both his PAT kicks, had a 39-yard field goal and produced five touchbacks in Baltimore’s win over the Texans.
Buffalo
Poona Ford, DT
Ford was active but did not record any statistics in the Bills’ overtime loss to the New York Jets.
Carolina
D’Shawn Jamison, CB
Jamison was active but did not play in the Panthers’ 24-10 loss to Atlanta.
Chicago
D’Onta Foreman, RB
Foreman carried five times for 16 yards and caught two passes for eight yards in the Bears’ 38-20 loss at home to Green Bay.
Roschon Johnson, RB
Johnson had 20 yards and a touchdown on five carries and six catches for 35 yards for Chicago against the Packers in his pro debut.
Cincinnati
Joseph Ossai, DE
Ossai missed the Bengals’ 24-3 loss at Cleveland with a sprained ankle.
Cleveland
Marquise Goodwin, WR
Goodwin was active but did not record any stats in the Browns’ 24-3 win at home over Cincinnati.
Denver
Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR
Humphrey hauled in two passes for 11 yards, one of them a 5-yard TD, in the Broncos’ 17-16 loss at home to Las Vegas.
P.J. Locke, S
Locke is on injured reserve after he suffered a leg injury in preseason. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the 2023 season.
Caden Sterns, S
Sterns was active but suffered what could be a season-ending injury in Denver’s 17-16 loss to the Raiders.
Houston
Andrew Beck, TE
Beck was active and started but did not record any statistics in the Texans’ 25-9 loss to Baltimore.
Hassan Ridgeway, DT
Ridgeway had two assisted tackles in Houston’s loss to the Ravens.
Indianapolis
Sam Ehlinger, QB
Ehlinger was active as the third quarterback for the Colts in their 31-21 loss at home to Jacksonville.
Kansas City
Keondre Coburn, DT
Coburn had one combined tackle in the Chiefs’ loss to Detroit on Thursday in the league opener.

Los Angeles Chargers
Cameron Dicker, PK
Dicker (the Kicker) converted both of his field goal attempts, from career-long 50 and 25 yards, respectively, made all four of his PAT kicks and amassed seven touchbacks on kickoffs in the Chargers’ 36-34 loss at home to Miami.
Miami
DeShon Elliott, S
Elliott started and racked up 13 tackles, seven of them solo, in the Dolphins’ 36-34 win in Los Angeles.
Brandon Jones, S
Jones played just two defensive snaps in first game back from a season-ending knee injury last year but had 18 snaps on special teams in the Dolphins’ victory.
Connor Williams, C
Williams started at center for Miami in its 36-34 win at Los Angeles, helping the Dolphins rack up 536 yards of total offense.
Minnesota
Jordan Hicks, LB
Hicks started and had three assisted tackles in the Vikings 20-17 loss at home to Tampa Bay.
New England
Calvin Anderson, T
Anderson started and helped the Patriots produce 382 yards of total offense in their 25-20 loss at home to Philadelphia.
Adrian Phillips, S
Phillips recorded four combined tackles and two solo stops in New England’s setback.
Brenden Schooler, S
Schooler had an assisted tackle on special teams in the Patriots’ loss.
New Orleans
Malcolm Roach, DT
Roach has two assisted tackles in the Saints’ 16-15 win at home against Tennessee.
Philadelphia
Moro Ojomo, DT
Ojomo was active but did not record any stats in the Eagles’ 25-20 win at New England.
Seattle
Michael Dickson, P
Dickson punted four times for an average of 59 yards per kick and ripped off a 73-yarder in the Seahawks’ 30-13 loss at home to the Rams.
Quandre Diggs, S
