How Texas Longhorns fared at the NFL combine
Nine Longhorns participated in either drills or testing at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Ind. and ended up stealing the show at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell drew most of the attention, with Worthy breaking John Ross’ 40-yard dash record with a 4.21 while Mitchell posted a strong 4.34.
Not to be outdone by their former offensive teammates, Byron Murphy and T’Vondre Sweat each posted strong showings and built their cases to be selected in the first round.

Xavier Worthy, WR
40-yard dash: 4.21
10-yard split: 1.49
Vertical jump: 41 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet 11 inches
Measurements: 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, 31 1/8 inch arm length, 8 3/4 inch hand size
Worthy stole the show with his blistering sprint.
Adonai Mitchell, WR
40-yard dash: 4.34
10-yard split: 1.52
Vertical jump: 39.5 inches
Broad jump: 11 feet 4 inches
Measurements: 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, 32 3/8 inch arm length, 9 inch hand size
Mitchell may have solidified himself as a first-rounder with his 4.34 40-yard dash.
Keilan Robinson, RB
40-yard dash: 4.42
10-yard split: 1.51
Vertical jump: 33 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet 5 inches
Measurements: 5-foot-8, 191 pounds. 30 5/8 inch arm length, 9 5/8 inch hand size
Robinson displayed explosiveness with a 10-plus foot broad jump.
Ryan Watts, DB
40-yard dash: 4.53
10-yard split: 1.55
Vertical jump: 40.5 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet 5 inches
Three-cone drill: 6.82
20-yard shuttle: 4.13
Measurements: 6-foot-2, 208 pounds, 34.5 inch arm length, 9 3/8 inch hands
A move to safety may be in his future but Watts had strong testing marks at the combine.
Ja’Tavion Sanders, TE
40-yard dash: 4.69
10-yard split: 1.59
20-yard shuttle: 4.32
Measurements: 6-foot-4, 245 pounds, 32 7/8 inch arm length, 10 1/8 inch hands
Sanders had a great showing in drill work, showing off his massive hands
Byron Murphy II, DT
40-yard dash: 4.87
10-yard split: 1.69
Vertical jump: 33 inches
Broad jump: 9 feet 3 inches
Bench press: 28 reps
Measurements: 6-foot-0.5, 297 pounds, 32 3/8 inch arm length, 10.25 inch hand size
Murphy had a number of first-round projections entering the combine.
Christian Jones, OT
40-yard dash: 5.04
10-yard split: 1.78
Three-cone drill: 8.09
20-yard shuttle: 4.78
Measurements: 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, 34.5 inch arm length, 10 5/8 inch hand size
Jones can improve upon all these marks and post a strong bench count at Texas’ senior day
Jaylan Ford, LB
Vertical jump: 33.5 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet 1 inch
Measurements: 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, 31.75 inch arm length, 9.5 inch hand size
Ford could only go through two tests before he had to bow out of the athletic testing portion of the combine.
T’Vondre Sweat, DT
40-yard dash: 5.27
10-yard split: 1.8
Vertical jump: 26 inches
Broad jump: 8 feet 2 inches
Measurements: 6-foot-4.5, 366 pounds, 33.25 inch arm length, 10 1/8 inch hand size
