Thanks to 172 yards and three rushing touchdowns from Bijan Robinson in the first half, Texas took a 31-0 lead into halftime versus the Kansas Jayhawks. The Longhorn offensive line dominated the Kansas defense to the tune of 219 rushing yards in the first 30 minutes, and that only continued in the second half as Texas won its seventh game of the year by a score of 55-14

Texas outrushed Kansas 427-104, and outgained the Jayhawks 539-346. Robinson finished with 25 carries for 243 yards and four rushing touchdowns, both career highs.

Texas’ defense started out strong, forcing two three-and-outs and stopping the Jayhawks on an early fourth-down attempt. That only created more momentum for the Longhorns, who scored touchdowns on not just that turnover on downs, but also after a missed KU field goal. Texas won the first quarter 14-0, and the second 17-0 thanks to a one-yard touchdown run by Robinson as the halftime whistle blew.

The second half was more of the same, with Robinson recording possibly his best run this year with a 32-yard scamper on Texas’ first drive of the third quarter, his fourth touchdown of the night. The Longhorns could not keep the shutout, as Daniels recorded one touchdown pass in the third and another in the fourth.

However, other UT backs got in on the action as Jonathon Brooks twice in the fourth quarter, including one for 70 yards.
