Bond entered the transfer portal and departed Alabama after Nick Saban elected to retire following the 2023 season. Upon his arrival in Austin, he drew rave reviews for his speed and was set to be a key part of the Longhorn offense.

He was during the first few games of the season, notching 20 catches for 364 yards and three touchdowns in the first five games of the season, plus a rushing touchdown against Mississippi State. But an ankle injury suffered against Oklahoma put a damper on the rest of his campaign.

He reaggravated the injury in the SEC Championship, and caught one pass for eight yards in the last three contests of the season.

Bond finishes his Texas career with 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns, plus one rushing touchdown. In his three year collegiate career, he tallied 99 catches for 1428 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Bond joins Kelvin Banks and Jaydon Blue as 2024 Texas football players to forgo a final year of eligibility for the NFL Draft.
