ITYT: Details from Texas football's first fully-padded practice, next-man-up at running back
On this episode on the Inside Texas YouTube channel, Joe Cook and Eric Nahlin go over the latest details from Texas football’s fully-padded Tuesday practice and who the next players up at running back are.

Nahlin and Cook talk about the abundant depth at the wide receiver position with Silas Bolden and DeAndre Moore having a good day on Tuesday. Bolden continues to be one of the major revelations of training camp and Moore goes to show how many options Chris Jackson has available to him in the wideout room.
Next, the two discuss how Ty’Anthony Smith has made his presence felt over the course of camp. Coming to Texas at just under 200 pounds, Smith is now more physically developed. Not only that, he’s making plays on the football field and doing great linebacker things.
The Texas defense is topic No. 3 as Nahlin and Cook explain how the unit is showing improvement from last year. Replacing Byron Murphy and T’Vondre Sweat won’t be easy, but there’s increased ability across the board at every position.

Finally, they discuss CJ Baxter. Baxter is out for the season, as revealed after the publication of this video. Nahlin goes into detail on the running backs who will need to step up while Cook explains Steve Sarkisian, Tashard Choice, and even Jaydon Blue himself are worthy of a lot of praise for their efforts in preparing the third-year back for action.
