First Impressions: Ian Boyd discusses his first time observing a Texas Longhorns practice and notes the challenge of capturing all the details during the fast-paced session.

Practice Structure: The team followed a routine of stretching, special teams drills, and a fast-paced 11-on-11 session focusing on runs and RPOs, but without full tackling.

Defense Observations: Jelani McDonald played free safety, highlighting his transition from linebacker. McDonald paired with Michael Taaffe, indicating trust in his abilities.

Various defensive pairings were observed, including McDonald with Taaffe, Jaylon Gilbeau at Star, and rotations in the secondary involving Andrew Mukuba, Derek Williams, Jahdae Baron, Kobe Black, and Warren Roberson.

Offensive Drill Focus: Emphasis was on establishing the run and fast-paced plays, reminiscent of past struggles, especially during high-tempo situations like the Red River Shootout.

Receiver Groupings: DeAndre Moore, Isaiah Bond, and Johntay Cook were notable in the first team, while second team included Ryan Wingo, Matthew Golden, and Silas Bolden.

Offensive Line Depth: The team showcased significant depth, with mentions of Trevor Goosby as a future left tackle and Cole Hutson as a reliable second right guard. The third team includes experienced players like Malik Agbo, indicating strong overall depth.
