On the latest episode of Inside the Program on the Inside Texas Football YouTube Channel, Eric Nahlin and Texas Homer go over what sources inside the program had to say about the Longhorns’ thrilling win over Arizona State and what’s next with Ohio State.

The emotions of the game were explained, as the Longhorns felt as excited and relieved as many fans who were present and watching in Austin.

The two look at how the defensive play total created a tired defense responsible for stopping Cam Skattebo. There were quick changes like the Silas Bolden punt return then the safety that cost the Longhorn defense some time to rest. Texas made up for it in the end, but the defense was tired and attacked by a stout, smart running team.

Focus then shifts to the offense sputtering and what’s wrong with the run game. Quinn Ewers did everything his team needed him to do to escape with a win, but scaling forward requires that the run game becomes effective.

A few early enrollees are already with the team. Lance Jackson, Cole Brevard, Brad Spence, Justus Terry, and Michael Terry are with the Longhorns and have made a few plays early in their careers.

The two end with need-to-know notes on Ohio State, who Texas will battle in the Cotton Bowl, and on portal wide receiver Noah Thomas. The Texas A&M transfer has some interest from Texas, but time will most likely tell how much interest the Longhorns show.
