On another Monday Live on the Inside Texas YouTube channel, LC, Ian Boyd, Eric Nahlin, and Paul Wadlington answer viewer questions on the Texas Longhorns’ upcoming training camp, breakout candidates, recruiting philosophy, and much more.

The Longhorns’ upcoming pool party recruiting event leads the conversation. Thursday will have a number of top prospects like Jonah Williams on hand to see how the Longhorns operate at practice, coaches instruct players, and players respond to coaches. They’ll then enjoy the pool party at Gregory Gym that usually brings about some great pictures or quotes.

Next up is projecting how the offense might function this season. Texas has skill at QB, OT, and WR, but there’s a “zero sum” aspect of the practices that don’t show up publicly until game one. Determining the quality of the right side of the O-line, how Texas operates in short-yardage, Quinn Ewers’ ability versus the blitz, and how Steve Sarkisian might attack SEC defenses will be key things to follow in early August.

Ian Boyd and Paul Wadlington go over what personnel packages Texas might use often this year. Boyd explains how there may be personnel versatility within 11 depending on who the players are in that package.

Discussion of the preseason All-SEC teams follows. Texas had 13 make the three-team group with Bert Auburn and Kelvin Banks as the only first-team selections. A number of others, including CJ Baxter, were on the second team.

Wadlington then brings over a few questions from the Inside Texas Members Only Board, including which game might be a “trap game,” dark horse camp breakouts, and boom-or-bust starters (Quinn Ewers?).

How Texas is recruiting the Houston area is discussed, with Eric Nahlin pointing to Smith Orogbo, Caleb Chester, Nick Townsend, and Kade Phillips as several instances of UT successes. There are a lot of other players in 2026 to look forward to as well. More recruiting, specifically Michael Terry’s possible fit at Texas, is brought up. That leads into an in-depth conversation about wide receiver recruiting philosophy and the latest in 2026 recruiting.
