The Longhorns are after three five-star wide receivers in 2025 in Dakorien Moore, Jaime Ffrench, and Kaliq Lockett. Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson are working on building a consensus among these top prospects and selling the idea of sharing the ball in a team-oriented offense. Oregon, Ohio State, LSU, Miami, and Texas A&M are major competitors for these recruits in their various pursuits.

There are plenty of top running back prospects in Texas in the 2026 class, including top players like Javian Osborne, Jonathan Hatton, Davian Groce, Tradarian Ball, KJ Edwards, and Texas commit Raycine Guillory. Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice has focused on Guillory, Osborne, Edwards, and Ball, with Osborne the highest ranked among the crew. It’ll be up to Choice the number Texas takes in the class.
