In the video below, Justin Wells, Charlie Williams, and Joe Cook discuss the latest from Texas targets from the Class of 2025 and Class of 2026.

The IT staff begins with running back talks and Carthage (Texas) four-star KJ Edwards. The 2026 #bEASTtexas product made a return trip to Austin and was able to watch the Texas tailbacks go off and check in with Tashard Choice.

The Inside Texas staff then talked about linebacker recruiting, with specific notes on 2025 McKinney (Texas) four-star and On3’s No. 2 LB Riley Pettijohn. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder took another trip to Austin and loved watching the defensive play. He has a handful of official visits, including Texas in June.

With offensive line recruiting, there isn’t a bigger target in 2026 than North Crowley’s John Turntine. The big four-star was back with family in Austin, where he has two sisters in college. It’s early, but Kyle Flood and the Horns are setting a strong foundation for this recruitment.

With 2025 quarterbacks, the guys ask if Texas will take two in this cycle, with Saraland (Ala.) KJ Lacey already in the boat. But Duncanville (Texas) four-star, SMU pledge Keelon Russell made his way to campus on Sunday for a nice chat with Steve Sarkisian and that staff. Russell has yet to be offered.
