The Inside Texas staff has been on the road this week. Eric Nahlin stopped by Lufkin and Conroe during his travels. He checked in with Lufkin DT Zion Williams, who Texas is battling a number of regional rivals for. At Conroe, he checked in with Dorian Brew for the latest on the On3 Industry Ranking 5-star.
Justin Wells made it through Louisiana on Tuesday to see Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist RB James Simon. The On3 Industry Ranking four-star is the top target remaining in the 2025 class for Tashard Choice. Though he didn’t see Aiden Anding in action, Wells talks about the Ruston (La.) product whose ranking is lagging behind his on-field ability.
Charlie Williams talks with McKinney (Texas) linebacker Riley Pettijohn. Alongside Texas commit Elijah Barnes, Pettijohn is the top target among in-state linebackers. A video interview with Pettijohn, who met with Steve Sarkisian while he watched his girlfriend win gold at the UIL State track meet this past weekend.
