Lockett is ranked as the No. 17 overall prospect, the No. 3 wide receiver, and the No. 6 player in Texas in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He’s the highest-ranked wide receiver to commit to the Longhorns in the Steve Sarkisian era. Wells and Cook go over his skill sets with his film available in the video below.
The two go over how the Longhorns topped Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida State, and LSU in order to jump start Texas’ 2025 wideout class. This is the first five-star of the cycle for Texas and is the result of hard work by Sarkisian and Chris Jackson dating back several years.
