Texas forward Jamie Vinson plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, Inside Texas has learned. Vinson a rising sophomore who played in nine games this past season, averaged 2.2 points and 1.1 rebounds.

An Austin native, Vinson played high school basketball at Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy. He was ranked as the No. 217 overall prospect, the No. 47 power forward, and the No. 8 player in Virginia in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Vinson as the No. 52 power forward and the No. 10 player in Virginia. He joins Devon Pryor, Preston Clark, and Malik Presley as players transferring out following the 2024-25 season.
