Brooks has collected a number of midseason All-America accolades from a variety of outlets, including ESPN, CBS Sports, The Athletic, Fox Sports, and USA Today. The junior from Hallettsville (Texas) has rushed for 726 yards and six touchdowns on 108 carries. His outing versus the Jayhawks was the best of his career, rushing 21 times for 218 yards and two touchdowns and adding 23 yards receiving.
Sweat, a senior from Huntsville (Texas), has 18 tackles including 4.0 for loss, one sack, one pass breakup, and four quarterback hurries. He’s a huge part of Texas’ defense, helping the Longhorns limit opponents to 4.97 yards per play and under 115 yards on the ground per game. Sweat was named a first-team midseason All-American by The Athletic and was a second-teamer according to Fox Sports.
