Thompson and Dicker join 33 other invitees who finished their careers at Big 12 schools. Oklahoma led the conference with 11 players invited, followed by Baylor with seven, Iowa State with six, then Texas Tech and Oklahoma State with three. Kansas State, TCU, and West Virginia are sending one player to the combine. No Kansas prospect received an invitation.
Dicker and Thompson seek to join the 351 Longhorns who have been selected in the NFL Draft. Sterns was the last defensive back from Texas selected in the draft, while Michael Dickson was the last Longhorn specialist who heard his name called during the seven-round event.
