Kickoff time, TV partner announced for Texas vs. Houston

The No. 9 Texas Longhorns will renew a rivalry with former Southwest Conference foe Houston on Saturday, October 21. The Big 12 announced Monday that the game will kick off at 3 p.m. and air on FOX.

This will be the 26th meeting between the teams and the first since Texas defeated the Cougars in Austin in 2002. The Longhorns lead the series 16-7-2. This will be the first trip in program history to TDECU Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston

Other games in the Big 12 had their kickoff time announced.

The matchup between the Central Florida Knights and the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, Okla. will kick off at 11 a.m. and air on ABC.

The first ever conference game between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Baylor Bears in Cincinnati, Ohio will kick off at 11 a.m. Big 12 Now on ESPN+ will have the action.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will travel to Morgantown, W. Va. to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in Milan Puskar Stadium. That game will begin at 2:30 p.m. and air on ESPN.

Texas Tech and BYU will face each other as Big 12 Conference opponents for the first time on October 21. The Red Raiders and the Cougars will battle in LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah with the game starting at 6 p.m. FS1 will televise the action.

In a rematch of the 2022 Big 12 Championship, the TCU Horned Frogs will head to Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kan. to battle the Kansas State Wildcats. ESPN2 will televise the game set to start at 6 p.m.

Texas is on bye this week after a 5-1 start. The Longhorns suffered their first loss of the season last week versus Oklahoma
