Fourth quarter

15:00 – Brooks gains another first down, and Worthy takes a quick pass to the house from 44 yards out. 17-10 Texas 14:12

14:12 – Wyoming gets to 3rd and medium on the opening couple of plays, but Jahdae Barron makes a massive play to keep Wyoming short of the sticks.

11:55 – Texas sees a 3rd and 1 quickly, and Brooks rushes 61 yards to make it 1st and goal. Ewers then rushes in from five yards out. 24-10 Texas 9:01

9:01 – Jerrin Thompson picks off Svoboda and returns it to the house. 31-10 Texas 8:45

8:45 – Wyoming goes three-and-out.

7:04 – Worthy returns the punt from the Longhorn 20 all the way to the Wyoming 45. On 3rd down, Jaydon Blue fumbles and Wyoming recovers.

5:56 – The Cowboys move to midfield and past it with a few nice runs. A blitz pressures Svoboda but he finds a dump down pass to move into the red zone. Wyoming then makes it 1st and goal with several runs. On 3rd and goal, Wyoming commits pass interference. The clock runs out.

Third quarter

15:00 – Texas starts on the 32 after a nice Robinson return. Ewers finds Whittington in Wyoming territory to move the sticks. A false start messes with the rhythm and brings up a 3rd and 9. Ewers finds Mitchell over the middle for a first. Ewers is sacked and brought down at the 40. Sanborn’s punt downed at the four.

10:42 – Wyoming moves out of the shadow of its own goal post and close to the 40 with nice running and a few good passes from Svoboda. Facing 3rd and 4, Svoboda drops back and picks apart the Texas defense with a first down inside field goal range. Kris Ross is down on the field and the cart comes out to take him to the locker room. A pass interference penalty on Terrance Brooks moves the sticks. Wyoming faces 4th down and gets the needed yardage to make it 1st and goal. On 3rd and goal, Barryn Sorrell records a sack. Wyoming hits a field goal to cap a 10:22 drive. 10-10 0:20

0:13 – Jonathon Brooks rushes to near midfield at quarter. 10-10

Second quarter

15:00 – An attempted trick play can’t get the 3rd and 1. A 4th and 1 is picked up by Red in the wildcat once again. Gunnar Helm then gets close to the goal line, setting up 1st and goal. On 2nd and goal, Ewers finds Byron Murphy for the score out of the goal line set. 10-7 Texas 11:45

11:45 – Thanks to balanced running and good passing from Svoboda, Wyoming moves it close to midfield. Wyoming encounters a 3rd and 8, and Svoboda’s scramble loses yards. Wyoming punts.

7:43 – Texas goes three and out with three incompletions.

7:18 – The Cowboy drive starts on the 30. It goes five yards before the punt team hits the field.

5:02 – Texas starts on the 17. A first down gain of five yards leads to little else as a Ewers overthrow and a short completion end up short of the line to gain.

First quarter

12:35 – Wyoming’s kickoff goes out of bounds and Texas starts at the 35. A false start and three straight incompletions puts the punt team on the field.

4:48 – A couple of passes moves the chains, the Jonathon Brooks racks up the yardage with several long runs that reach the line to gain. A false start puts Texas behind schedule leading to a 3rd and 7 near midfield. A 4th and 1 is converted by Savion Red. Texas faces a third down as the quarter comes to a close. 7-3 Wyoming.

Pregame

The Longhorns have their typical QB pecking order in pregame warmups: Quinn Ewers, Maalik Murphy, Arch Manning, Charles Wright, Cole Lourd.

Despite being listed as unavailable tonight by the program, CJ Baxter is participating in pre-game warmups. He does not appear to have any brace or wrap on any appendage, but he also does not have on the gloves he typically plays in. Could, and likely is, just dressed out. Similar goes for Morice Blackwell.
