Is Bijan Robinson the best player in football?

Bijan Robinson is leaving a trail of conquered NFL defenses in his path. He is on his way to a historic season in Atlanta. Last night was the best game of his young career, as the Falcons upset the Buffalo Bills 24-14, largely on the back of a brilliant Robinson performance. The former Longhorns star and Doak Walker winner’s 238 yard night was highlighted by an 81 yard touchdown in the first half. The rush was the longest one the NFL has seen in 2025.
ESPN’s article on the Falcons’ win gives even more context to Robinson’s historic start to 2025: Robinson came in leading the league in yards from scrimmage per game (146). He is now only the second player to reach 450 rushing yards and 300 receiving yards through five games in NFL history, joining Thurman Thomas in 1991, per ESPN Research.
Atlanta coach Raheem Morris has been effusive in his praise of Bijan this season: “He’s the best player in football,” Morris said of Robinson. “I’ve said it multiple times, I can’t say it enough. You can always have your pick. You can always go out there and figure out who you want to vote for, but in my opinion, he’s the best player in football.”

Here are some other notes from Longhorn Sunday (and a few things we’ve missed over the past few weeks):
–Matthew Golden emerges. Golden had a great day for the Green Bay Packers, showing off with 86 receiving yards and 102 from scrimmage.

–Xavier Worthy gets in the endzone. The X-Man is finally healthy and he found paydirt against Detroit on Sunday night. The speedster scored when he took a short Patrick Mahomes’ pass to the house.
–Alfred Collins won a huge game for San Francisco last week on Thursday Night Football. We had to mention Big Alfred’s massive stop of the Rams on the goal line. The rookie defensive tackle Collins’ forced fumble on Rams’ Kyren Williams secured the win for the 49ers.
