Baylor chased the Texas Longhorns all night long. But the Bears just quite couldn’t get there.

Whether it was a Sir’Jabari Rice three, a tough basket from Timmy Allen or Tyrese Hunter getting it done on both ends of the court, the No. 10 Horns held off No. 11 Baylor for a big home win.

The Bears have pretty much owned Texas hoops in the last several years. But this game felt different from about the midway point of the first half.

It was Baylor who was constantly playing catch-up as opposed to the Horns.

It’s too early to tell if the Horns leaned anything from their trip to Knoxville over the weekend.

But having a lead at half is much preferred than playing from 10 points down. Against the good teams, it takes two good halves of play, not just one.

The Big 12 football schedule for 2023 is set for release at 1 p.m. today.

TCU accidentally leaked their schedule yesterday before quickly taking it down.

Of note, the Horns travel to TCU on Nov. 11.

The Horns sit at 24 commitments for the class of 2023.

With Red Oak safety Warren Roberson and Phoenix tight end Duce Robinson still in play, the Horns could add two more to the list.

Roberson is the more likely of the two. But he’s revealed virtually no news since returning home from his trip to Austin over the weekend.

Roberson remains committed to TCU but it’s thought that this is more a Texas-USC battle.

The Red Oak signing ceremony is set for Friday. But players can sign their letters of intent as soon as tomorrow morning.

Whether we have to wait until Friday to find out or get the news somehow tomorrow, we shall see.

As for Robinson, he’s expected to announce his decision tomorrow. While we don’t know who the favorite is, it’s a good bet that baseball is going to play a factor in his decision.
