Codie played in 19 games, averaging 1.7 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.2 blocks. The 6-foot-8, 200 pounder was ranked as the No. 64 overall prospect and the No. 1 player in Texas in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Codie as the No. 84 overall prospect and the No. 3 player in Texas.
Minutes are available for Codie in Miller’s first season, as Kadin Shedrick and Ze’Rik Onyema, two players who were in front of Codie in terms of post playing time, have exhausted their eligibility.

Here’s more insight from Keenan Womack:
This season, SEC teams constantly exposed Texas’ lack of front court depth, so returning a four-star forward at a position of need is always a good sign. The sophomore from Newman Smith in Carrollton, Texas stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs 200 pounds, giving him a solid frame on which to add muscle this next season, though he is slight now.
Though he did not take enough shots for percentages or efficiency to matter as a metric in 2024-2025, he was efficient in high school, ranking 80th percentile at the rim at 1.35 points per shot. If he can develop physically, he has the ability to become a productive player on next year’s team, especially considering Miller’s emphasis on scoring in the paint.
Texas is after a number of other big man portal prospects as Miller looks to build for the 2025-26 season.
Codie joins Xavier transfer Dailyn Swain as known additions to the Longhorns roster. Swain committed to Texas on Tuesday. All indications also point toward 2025 Link Academy forward John Clark sticking with his pledge to Texas.

The Longhorns await decisions from Jordan Pope, Tramon Mark, Chendall Weaver, as well as other members of the 2024-25 team. There is no expectation that Tre Johnson returns to college.
