Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian

“Our thoughts and prayers are with (West Virginia RB) CJ Donaldson.”

“I just loved the way that our team played coming back after a tough loss. It’s never easy to get back on the horse and start riding again when you fall off, and clearly last week we did. Our guys responded.”

“I think over the past few weeks (Hudson Card) has earned a lot of respect, even more than he’s had. To me and to our team, it doesn’t feel like we’re playing with a backup. Hudson’s a really good player. We’re very fortunate that he is the guy right now for us.”

“I’ll be shocked if somebody can run the table in the Big 12 undefeated. If they can, more power to them but I think there’s going to be losses. There’s a lot of parity. There’s a lot of tough environments that people have to go play in.”

“It was great having Moro (Ojomo) back. He’s obviously a really good leader on our team. He’s a tough-minded guy, and I think he provides some energy to that group.”

“What I’m very impressed with with our team is our ability to bounce back.”

Texas defensive lineman Byron Murphy

“I just know that we all count on each other. I know they got my back and I got theirs.

Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders

“That’s what happens in this conference. Any team can beat anybody, honestly. We just have to come out and play our brand of football.”

Texas quarterback Hudson Card

“You know, I think just every game you kind of grow, gain some experience and a get a little bit more comfortable. But, you know, credit to the coaches for putting in a plan that was that was really solid. And obviously, the players around me executed really well. And, you know, made me look good on some of those plays.”

“You know, you’re gonna be faced with some, some adversity throughout the season. And, you know, it’s up to us to you know, respond in the correct way. And, you know, I think, you know, our guys came up came to work this week. And you know, I’m super proud of that. They responded, We responded. Better receiver better quarterback. You know, that thought was pretty good. So they complete that all week. I mean, yeah, I would say so. I don’t remember how we’ve been running it for a couple of weeks.”
