After No. 22 Texas (2-2) went 46 yards in four plays in 21 seconds, Bert Auburn’s 45-yard kick sent the Longhorns into overtime from Jones Stadium in Lubbock on Saturday.

But on the first play, Bijan Robinson fumbled the ball, Texas Tech (3-1) picked it up, and drilled the 20-yarder for the upset win; Texas Tech 37, No. 22 Texas 34.

Here’s some notes and quotes from the Texas players following the game.

Texas RB Bijan Robinson, on Wildcat and staying focused on the season: “They game planned for it well. They had it closed inside and had contain for it outside. I don’t think it’s a deflation (the loss) – I think it’s a learning experience for us. Adversity strikes – and we got to keep our head up and not let this get in between us. We’ve got a lot of games ahead. We’ve got a long season to play, and a lot of football games we want to win. You know, we’re not going to look back and we’re going to move past this. ”

Texas QB Hudson Card: “It’s just part of the journey. It’s a bump in the road but it doesn’t define our season. A lot of games left to played. Obviously a receiver like Xavier (Worthy) is going to help out offense, but you know, it’s next man up and after (Worthy) went down, the guys that came in did a great job. It obviously hurts (losing) a talented receiver like Worthy. There’s always plays we wish we would get back, but we’ll learn from it

Texas DL Keondre Coburn: “I was trying my ass off to get pressure. We’re tired but we trained for this. And we’re going to do whatever we can to basically make it through those hot spots throughout the game. (Tech) just executed better and how frustrating it was giving up third downs. We have to execute better and put more pressure. It was hard to get (Donovan Smith) off the field. I think he did his thing he was supposed to do to get the victory.

Key Note: It was Texas Tech’s first win over UT at home since 2008, when they upset the No. 1 Longhorns.
