In this episode, Joe and Justin discuss:
- Joe and Justin start with Alamo Bowl gameday. Joe hotel’ing it at the Marriott in San Antonio, while Justin is holding it down in east Texas at Inside Texas central command. They discuss one of the better matchups in college football this bowl season with two Top 20 teams facing off tonight.
- Joe and Justin discuss the Texas offense and what to expect from the rushing attack without Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson. The two best players from the UT program opted-out of the bowl, understandably. But it gives Jonathon Brooks, Keilan Robinson, and Jaydon Blue more opportunities. Each bring a different skillset, and all can help the Horns. They also discuss Quinn Ewers vs Michael Penix Jr, and what Horns fans want to see from Ewers heading into the 2023 season.
- Joe and Justin finish it with a look at the Texas defense and how they matchup with an explosive Washington offense, one of the top scoring programs in the nation for 2022. With DeMarvion Overshown out, we talk about Morice Blackwell and David Gbenda and how they’ll try to corral Penix Jr and the Huskies scoring attack. Washington hasn’t seen a defense with the athleticism and physicality of the Horns, since they didn’t face Utah or USC during the year.
