In this episode, Joe and Justin discuss:
- Justin and Joe begin with Texas’ upcoming junior day on Saturday. They pull back the curtain for a closer look behind the scenes on what transpires during a junior day in Austin. The players and parents often meet coaches, face to face, for the first time. They’ll meet with former players, current leadership council, even parents of current and former Longhorns. Some prospects get a photo shoot, in addition to meeting with academic advisors, touring the football and living facilities, but most of all, answering questions. It’s a great way to begin a strong relationship with Texas targets with a potential future in Texas Football. We also look back at previous junior days, including Quinn Ewers and Ja’Tavion Sanders at the 2019 event.
- Justin and Joe add some of the top names expected to attend on Saturday, including Jerrick Gibson, Micah Hudson, Michael Uini, Dylan Williams, and Corian Gipson. There might be a few new offers extended on Saturday and we’ll have the latest at InsideTexas.com.
- Justin and Joe dive into the NCAA Transfer Portal, for the latest on Georgia wide receiver AD Mitchell. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound former Missouri City (Texas) product has been very productive at the right time in his time in Athens with touchdown catches in four of Georgia’s college football playoff games over the last two years. Mitchell could potentially be the missing piece to a Texas offense in need of a tall, vertical field-stretcher on the outside in 2023.
- Justin and Joe also look at the former Longhorns who hit the portal and left for other programs. They discuss Hudson Card, JD Coffey, Logan Parr, and more as they find a new home outside the Forty Acres. They remind the viewers to check-in at InsideTexas.com for the latest post-Junior Day and notes, quotes following UT’s annual event.
