It was a massive recruiting weekend for Texas as the Longhorns took on Oklahoma State in Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The Longhorns hosted five official visitors, along with 2022 Alabama tight end commit Jaleel Skinner, 2022 five-star Frisco Libery wide receiver Evan Stewart, five-star 2023 Isidore Newman quarterback Arch Manning and 2023 DeSoto four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook, among others. As always, ‘On Texas Football’ has the best in-depth content on the weekend .

On the latest episode of ‘On Texas Football’, Inside Texas‘ and On3 Senior National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton joined Inside Texas’ Bobby Burton to recap the recruiting weekend that was for the Longhorns.

Texas hosted two West Coast offensive linemen on visits in four-star St. John Bosco (Cal.) interior offensive lineman Earnest Greene and four-star Todd Beamer offensive tackle Malik Agbo. Agbo previously visited Miami and Oklahoma, and still has visits planned to Auburn and Florida, along with potentially Arizona State. The Texas target didn’t have the Longhorns in his top five that he dropped in the summer, but was “blown away” by his experience. Hamilton went in-depth on how the visit went.

“Malik Agbo, I think, very, very good visit for Texas,” Hamilton said. “I think the overall atmosphere at the University of Texas. The football game, the experience, the city of Austin. Everything that comes with University of Texas football was very impressive to Agbo. And I think that’s one thing for him, he’s looking for that big-time college football experience. You can kind of tell that with his recruitment. He’s still got visits to Auburn and Florida scheduled…This is a kid that—he didn’t have Texas in his top five, when he dropped this top five. Kyle Flood and staff kept staying on him, worked to get him on campus and I think that proved to be very, very good work by the Texas staff….He’s a kid who was walking around with a smile, all that. Saw him before the game, they were taking them through the Hall of Fame in the north end zone and you could tell he was blown away by that experience.”
