In this episode, Justin and Bobby discuss…

  • Justin and Bobby start with Texas’ newest 2024 commitments. Santana Wilson committed on Saturday and Freddie Dubose Jr. did the same on Sunday. Justin had written about Wilson since his offer during the Spring, and after breaking his official visit date, the Inside Texas staff was prepared for the big news. Wilson adds a level of athleticism and footwork that’s desired at the next level. The son of former NFL and Arizona Cardinals great Adrian Wilson, Santana fell in love with Austin and is ready to be coached by Terry Joseph. Justin mentioned that Dubose was a definite take before his injury last season. But after looking strong during the track and field season at Smithson Valley, Dubose jumped into the boat as Chris Jackson‘s first receiver pledge at Texas.
  • Justin and Bobby talk about the numbers for 2024 after the latest commitments and where the Horns go after laying the foundation at corner and wideout.

  • Justin and Bobby discuss On3’s No. 6 EDGE Danny Okoye and his first trip to Austin, the first official visit of his recruitment. Justin spoke to the Tulsa native post-visit, where he hung out with Pete Kwaitkowski, David Gbenda, and the other recruits. The top competition remains a mystery with LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Tennessee squarely in the mix. Bobby asks Justin about St. Louis (Mo.) native and On3 five-star WR Ryan Wingo. Justin mentions the Horns have a very legit shot at in this recruitment. Justin mentions Myles Davis as a visitor and the Horns put themselves in a great position with the Texas A&M OV coming this weekend. Davis told Justin that he’ll announce his commitment on August 25th.
  • Justin and Bobby finish with an update on #bEASTtexas product and Texas target Aeryn Hampton, who took his official visits to Alabama and Texas over the last two weekends. The On3 four-star is getting the athlete designation from the Texas staff, and after speaking with Justin over the weekend, it appears the Horns are the team to beat.
