In this episode, Bobby and Joe discuss:
- Bobby and Joe start out with a conversation about what didn’t take place on Wednesday: Steve Sarkisian’s second national signing day press conference. Joe mentions what Sarkisian probably would have talked about if it weren’t for the inclement weather. “They give us a confirmation they’re going to start spring practice, I guess, before spring break, the early part of March. We really weren’t going to learn anything, whether about (Warren) Roberson or (Duce) Robinson from Sarkisian. The most he could have said is ‘yeah, we’re still after people.'” Joe mentioned the other things missed were potential injury updates and progress reports on early enrollees.
- Bobby then discusses the latest updates on Robinson and Roberson, including the factors with each prospect. “The news, or sorts, is just how much baseball is playing a factor for the Phoenix area recruit.” Roberson announces his decision on Friday, while Robinson may not elect to sign a letter of intent.
- A basketball discussion follows, with the Longhorns heading to Kansas this week to face K-State and KU to begin the second half of Big 12 play. Joe talks about the blueprint for Texas lineup wise when it comes to navigating the Big 12, including how efficient small-ball lineups have been.
- The two get into Roschon Johnson’s injury at the Senior Bowl and how it is unlikely to be something that hurts Johnson’s draft stock. They discuss how an esteemed NFL insider discussed the likelihood of Johnson being a day two pick.
- Bobby and Joe close with a discussion about the Longhorns’ draft prospects and how it indicates the increased talent level on the 40 Acres.
