In this episode, Justin and Joe discuss…
- Justin and Joe start the ever-popular Questions Answered with who was snubbed from the All Big 12 team that was released on Wednesday. Justin chooses senior safety Jerrin Thompson, while Joe goes with Bert Auburn, the Texas specialist. Next up, Xavier was the only unanimous selection for the entire conference. Who was missed? Justin is adamant about Kelvin Banks, the returning freshman All-American. Joe dives into the system with flaws, with Cooper Beebe as his selection.
- Justin and Joe next ask what could be the biggest storyline coming out of Big 12 Media Days next week. For Justin, it’ll be Texas’ last hurrah in the Big 12 Conference, while Joe agrees we’ll see even more of the move-to-SEC narrative. Will the Inside Texas guys will make a return trip to Arlington in December for the Big 12 Championship game? Justin and Joe both believe the Horns will make the conference title game and are expecting to be back in the metroplex in December.

- Justin and Joe discuss what is new commit Jordan Washington‘s best attribute? Justin goes with two: his athletic prowess on the hardwood and his ability and willingness to block at the tight end position. Joe sees similar, and if Washington is ready to mix it up and get physical, that’s his best quality. Next up was how Chris Jackson won the Parker Livingstone recruitment. Justin details how much Steve Sarkisian was involved in Livingstone’s recruitment, but Jackson was the helper and closer in this pursuit. More recruiting follows with how many more IMG Academy kids will commit to Texas in this cycle. Jayden Jackson and TJ Lindsey are still on the board after Jordon Johnson-Rubell and Jerrick Gibson jumped in the boat.
- Justin and Joe shift to who will be the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Justin names UT quarterback Quinn Ewers, while Joe goes with Xavier Worthy, where we could see something similar to Devonta Smith‘s big year at Alabama. Then the two discuss Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, with both choosing Jaylan Ford, the junior linebacker who was snubbed in last year’s Big 12 superlatives.
- The guys finish with over/under on the amount of Texas commits before the next time Justin and Joe record. The number is three, and both guys take the over with upcoming announcements from Aeryn Hampton, Malik Blocton, and Melvin Hills.
