In this episode, Justin and Joe discuss…
- Justin and Joe begin with Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark’s comments to the Red Raider Club in Lubbock on Wednesday. Yormark took a few shots at Texas and Oklahoma, and told Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire he’ll be in Austin on Thanksgiving for the UT-Tech contest and hopes the Red Raiders “take care of business.” It’s just another example of the Big 12 talking out of turn towards Texas and its reasons for leaving the Big 12 for the SEC. Justin and Joe suggest that Texas fans and Chris Del Conte take the high road and settle things on the field in 2023.
- Justin and Joe next go “Stock Up, Stock Down, or Holding Serve” position-by-position for the Longhorns in 2023, beginning at quarterback. Justin and Joe say Stock Up for a room with a pair of future NFL 1st round draft picks in the QB room. Next was running back. Justin and Joe say Holding Serve after losing Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson to the NFL.
- At wide receiver, the duo say Stock Up after the additions of AD Mitchell, Johntay Cook, DeAndre Moore, and a healthy Isaiah Neyor. At offensive line, Justin and Joe say Stock Up after the returning the entire O-line and the quality depth. They finish with tight end, where Justin and Joe proclaim they’re Holding Serve with Ja’Tavion Sanders and Gunnar Helm at the spot.

- Justin and Joe jump over to the defensive side of the ball with interior defensive line up first. With Byron Murphy, Alfred Collins, T’Vondre Sweat, and others, it’s definitely a Stock Up position. At EDGE, Justin and Joe agree it’s a Stock Down option until Barryn Sorrell, Ethan Burke, and Justice Finkley prove otherwise.
- At linebacker, it’s Holding Serve with Jaylan Ford. Justin and Joe name David Gbenda, Morice Blackwell, and Anthony Hill as linebackers that could certainly push this position to Stock Up by the end of the year.
- Justin and Joe move to cornerback, a position with the utmost upside in the Texas program. It’s Stock Up with Ryan Watts and Terrance Brooks returning, and Gavin Holmes and Manny Muhammad pushing for playing time.
- Justin and Joe finish with the safeties, where Holding Serve is the choice. With Jerrin Thompson and Jalen Catalon, this is a position of strength. Add Kitan Crawford, Derek Williams, and Michael Taaffe, and it could easily slide into the Stock Up category soon.
