In this episode, Joe and Bobby discuss:

  1. Bobby and Joe discuss what was said by Texas players Quinn Ewers, Keondre Coburn, Anthony Cook, and head coach Steve Sarkisian in the post-game press conference following the loss to Washington in the Alamo Bowl. That quartet was more reflective in tone during their final availability of the 2022 season. They were proud of what they had accomplished in the 2022 season but still were disappointed in the Alamo Bowl outcome.
  2. They dive into comments made by Quinn Ewers after the game. Ewers said, “I think I need to fill more of a vocal role on this team, be more of a vocal leader instead of just leading by what I do on and off the field. I think that’s the main thing for me, honestly. I need to maybe mature in that area a little bit more.”
  3. Bobby and Joe dive into the return of T’Vondre Sweat for the 2023 campaign, and talk about what the rotation along the Longhorn defensive line allowed that group to do during the 2022 season. They discuss who could man the rotation next season, including Sweat, Alfred Collins, Byron Murphy, Vernon Broughton, Aaron Bryant, Kris Ross, and more.
  4. Finally, the two end with a discussion on Texas basketball’s win over Oklahoma. They place a major emphasis on how the experienced trio of Timmy Allen, Sir’Jabari Rice, and Marcus Carr helped the Longhorns be the only Big 12 team to win on the road over the weekend.
