In this episode, Bobby and Justin discuss:

  1. Bobby and Justin begin the show live from Denius Fields where the Texas Longhorns are wrapping up their first spring practice of 2023. Bobby and Justin begin with things he really wanted to see from these small practice windows for the media. Players missing from the first practice include Maalik Murphy, Jonathon Brooks (off-season hernia), and Keilan Robinson. At quarterback, it was Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning, and Charles Wright, in that order. Ewers has an easy delivery, whereas Manning is more mechanical and fluid. At running back, Jaydon Blue took resp with the first team, followed by freshman Cedric Baxter, who looks the part. On wide receiver, Xaiver Worthy and Jordan Whittington were the first two players at practice on Monday. Isaiah Neyor remains in the injury category. Ja’Tavion Sanders and Gunnar Helm took the first- and second-team snaps at tight end. Along the offensive line, Kelvin Banks looks incredible, DJ Campbell is taking snaps at right guard for the injured Cole Hutson, and freshman Payton Kirkland looks trimmed down already.
  2. Bobby and Justin move over the defensive side of the ball, where he was able to see the linebackers and defensive backs. At LB, Jaylan Ford was leading the pack, with freshmen Liona Lefau and Anthony Hill bringing size and speed to the position. At corner, Ryan Watts‘ size stood out and Terrance Brooks‘ asserting himself into the first-team rotation are both great signs for the secondary. Safeties Jerrin Thompson and Jalen Catalon might not have the ideal size and speed, but both are extremely sharp and experienced, which is what the defensive backend has needed.
  3. On special teams, kicker Bert Auburn still has the glorious afro, while Worthy, Johntay Cook, and DeAndre Moore were returning punts.
