In this episode, Justin and Gerry discuss…
- Justin and Gerry begin with the latest from the five-star priority targets for the Longhorns Class of 2024 with St. Louis native Ryan Wingo up first. Justin mentions that Wingo might not wait until December to make a decision. After he left St. Louis last month, Justin and Wingo spoke about his timeline. Now, sources tell Inside Texas that’s changed. It’s also looking like a Texas-Missouri recruiting battle as the Tigers have added some momentum recently. Wingo is still scheduled to be in Austin on September 16th for Texas-Wyoming. Gerry talks about Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei offensive tackle, On3 Industry Ranking five-star Brandon Baker next, with Texas, Ohio State, and Oregon in the mix. Baker is another top prospect that could make a decision soon. He’ll be at Nebraska for an official visit in September.
- Justin and Gerry discuss Waco (Texas) Connally cornerback, On3 Industry Ranking five-star Kobe Black. Justin mentions the latest after visiting the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Cen-Tex stud last week, and after getting a strong sense that Black wasn’t ready to make a decision, sources tell Inside Texas that could change soon. Texas A&M remains UT’s top competition for the multi-sport senior. Gerry pivots to Lafayette (La.) Acadiana defensive tackle Dominick McKinley. He mentions the On3 Industry Ranking five-star’s connections to Bo Davis, Todd Bates, and Larry Johnson as the best relationships throughout this process. McKinley will announce his decision on September 1st.

- Justin and Gerry jump into the 2025 class starting with Mater Dei four-star running back Jordon Davison. Texas running back coach Tashard Choice continues to recruit at a high level as the Horns are in a great spot with the junior playmaker. Next up was Lewisville (Texas) offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, who continues to build a strong relationship with Kyle Flood and the Texas staff.
- Justin and Gerry finish with Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek cornerback Cobey Sellers and his latest. The On3 four-star is making the jump from TAPPS to 6A football. Sellers took a handful of unofficial visits since January, including Austin multiple times. Oklahoma is also starting to make a push for potentially a national kid.
