Our Justin Wells and Gerry Hamilton dive into the latest on Texas targets and commits, including the Texas state track meet this weekend and the guys on the road in this edition of the Recruiting Breakdown.

In this episode, Justin and Gerry discuss:

  1. Justin and Gerry begin with the latest 2023 Texas state track meet with lots of Longhorns on the docket, including Jelani McDonald , Ryan Niblett, and Trevor Goosby. The Texas signees will be in Austin competing for gold. McDonald won the triple jump gold medal last season, and Goosby has grown to 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, and bringing a PR in shot put. Niblett has nursed a hamstring injury, which has cut into activities, but still made state in the long jump. Top recruiting targets Micah Hudson, Bryant Wesco, Brayden Robinson, and Taz Williams will be on display as well.
  2. Justin and Gerry breakdown the trips on the road. Justin begins with Parker Livingstone at the Lucas Lovejoy-Crandall bi-district baseball playoffs. Livingstone, 6-foot-4, plays third base and pitches for a loaded Lovejoy squad. He’ll take his last official visit to Austin in late June. Gerry was in Florida, checking in on Jerrick Gibson, Jordon Johnson-Rubell, and Jayden Jackson.
  3. Justin and Gerry are headed on the road over the next week. Justin will be by Lucas Lovejoy and Midlothian to see Parker Livingstone and Bryant Wesco, respectively. Gerry is headed to Florida to see IMG Academy targets Jordon Johnson-RubellJayden Jackson, and Jerrick Gibson, along with other prospects in Orlando. Justin stopped by Allen to see On3 four-star EDGE Zina Umeozulu, and delivers the latest in his recruitment, including setting official trips to Texas, Oklahoma, and LSU.
