In this episode, Justin and Bobby discuss:

  1. Justin and Bobby begin with the Longhorns low level of activity in the transfer portal this Spring. After Brenen Thompson, Trevell Johnson, Derrick Brown, and Jaden Alexis entered the portal recently, Steve Sarkisian and the staff was diligent in keeping the remaining players and team intact, adding to its depth in 2023. Not since 2018 have the Longhorns had such a strong core of talent at its dispense. From Maalik Murphy had a strong Spring game and could’ve easily entered the portal for more playing time, but decided against it. That’s program buy-in and development.
  2. Justin and Bobby hit on the 2023 NFL Draft and where the Longhorns are headed. From Bijan Robinson to the Falcons, Demarvion Overshown to the Cowboys, Roschon Johnson to the Bears, Keondre Coburn to the Chiefs, and Moro Ojomo to the Eagles, the Horns had a successful draft haul in 2023. Defensive backs Anthony Cook and D’Shawn Jamison also signed undrafted rookie deals with the Chiefs and 49ers, respectively.
  3. Justin and Bobby see big things in May for UT and Inside Texas. There’s basketball news with Ron Holland and Rodney Terry’s pursuit of transfer portal targets. Justin and Gerry Hamilton hit the road this week for stops at some of the top football recruiting targets in the 2024 and 2025 classes, with June official visits right around the corner.
