Texas to hire Pittsburgh's Brennan Marion as receivers coach and pass game coordinator
Steve Sarkisian has hired Pittsburgh coach Brennan Marion to be the Longhorns’ wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, per On3’s Matt Zenitz.
Inside Texas previously mentioned Marion was the most likely candidate to replace Andre Coleman.
Marion is in his first season on the Panther coaching staff after spending the 2020 season at Hawaii with Todd Graham. During the 2021 season, Marion coached Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison to a 1479-yard, 17-touchdown sophomore season that won the Biletnikoff Award. Pitt won the ACC in 2021 for the first time since 2010.

As the Bison OC, Marion helped Howard defeat UNLV in 2017 by a score of 43-40. It was the largest point-spread upset in history. He coordinated an offense that helped Caylin Newton win the 2018 MEAC offensive player of the year award and Dedrick Parson the MEAC rookie of the year.
Marion played his college career at Tulsa, where he recorded 1000-yard seasons for the Golden Hurricane in 2007 and 2008. He entered coaching in 2011 and bounced around the high school level before working for Arizona State as a quality control coach in 2015.
