Evan Vieth and Joe Cook provide their immediate postgame reaction to Texas’ 34-31 win over Vanderbilt.

The two go over Arch Manning’s fantastic game that saw him throw for 328 yards on a 76% completion percentage with three touchdowns. Manning had great protection all game from a new look offensive line and made the most of it one week removed from a concussion.

They then dive into the poor part of the game, which saw Texas’ secondary get gashed by Diego Pavia and the Vanderbilt offense late. Though they were without Michael Taaffe and Jelani McDonald, the Texas secondary was atrocious and were not only beaten but also busting coverages.

The two conclude with a look at the Texas offense as it took a turn toward more spread principles, even though Steve Sarkisian had to be dragged to that conclusion by Ryan Wingo’s opening play touchdown.
