Heide, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound Minnesota native who attended high school at Wasatch Academy in Utah, will be a junior in 2025-26. He redshirted in 2023-24.
Here’s Keenan Womack on the addition.
A player whose stats may not pop off the page, Heide is a high-potential player given how he performed the last three weeks of the season with the Boilermakers, recording a double-double against High Point in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament and being an overall much improved offensive threat in that time.
Heide is a very good athlete for his size, able to create off the dribble for himself by slashing to the rim. He is a transition lob threat due to great leaping ability. He was typically seen in the Purdue offense as a catch-and-shoot threat in the half court, something that will aid the Texas playmakers next season. He is a blistering 57% in effective field goal rate on such attempts, which ranks him in the 81st percentile in this category.
He takes about a quarter of his shots at the rim, from where he shoots a fantastic 79%. He’s also a very effective transition score due to his ability from the perimeter on assisted threes as well as cutting and driving ability.
For the Boilermakers in 2024-25, Heide played in all 36 games with eight starts. In 20 minutes per contest, he averaged 4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. He played in 39 games in Purdue’s run to the national finals in 2024, averaging 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12 minutes per game. He played 15 minutes in the Boilermakers’ championship loss versus UConn.

In 2024-25, Heide shot 49 percent from the field, 39 percent from three, and 80 percent from the line. His top scoring performance performance was a 15-point outing versus NC State in November and another 15-point game against Maryland in December.
Heide was the No. 130 overall prospect, the No. 33 small forward, and the No. 4 player from Minnesota in the 2022 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Heide as the No. 41 small forward and the No. 5 player in Minnesota.
