Quinn Ewers listed as questionable on the Texas Longhorns injury report for Mississippi State

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers was listed as questionable on the SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report, better known as an injury report, released on Wednesday night.

This is the first time the Longhorns have appeared on the SEC injury report with their conference opener on tap this upcoming weekend.

In addition to Ewers, running backs CJ Baxter, Christian Clark, and Velton Gardner were listed as out, putting the Longhorns down three running backs on Saturday.

Defensive back Derek Williams and walk-on Colin Page were listed as doubtful.

Defensive back Jelani McDonald and running back Quintrevion Wisner were listed as questionable.

For Mississippi State, Blake Shapen, Creed Whittemore, Tyler Woodard, Trent Hudson, Keyvone Lee, and Kalvin Dinkins were listed as out.

DeAgo Brumfield, Traveon Wright, Kedrick Bingley-Jones, and Christopher Keys Jr. were listed as questionable.

Isaac Smith and Marlon Hauck were listed as probable.

Texas will make their Southeastern Conference debut on Saturday against the Bulldogs at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The game will air on SEC Network and kick off at 3:15 p.m. Central time. The Longhorns are ranked No. 1 in the nation in the AP Poll.
