Quinn Ewers' NIL August continues as the Texas QB becomes 'Deputy' in Fansville
As Quinn Ewers has continued to elevate his game on the field as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback, he’s also maintained a strong media profile as he’s racked up several lucrative NIL deals during the final month of the offseason. The most recent one? Ewers was made the face of Dr. Pepper’s Fansville commercials.

Ewers has long been one of the most recognizable names in college sports. He entered a NIL deal as soon as he got to Ohio State in 2021, and has continued to enter into a number of agreements in Austin. He’s worked with a personal injury attorney, a bull-riding team, and many more throughout the state of Texas.
This summer, Ewers has entered into more NIL deals that has seen his profile enter the sports mainstream and not just remain in the realm of college athletics.
Dr. Pepper will promote Fansville during college football broadcasts, but those commercials that feature the Longhorns’ starter as “Deputy” will make their way to non-college football and even non-sports airwaves.
He also signed a deal with Rhoback recently as part of its Rhoback U promotion. The premium athletics wear provider has often done work with high-profile athletes as Bijan Robinson was one of the company’s faces a few years ago. Now, Ewers enters as the face of their latest promotion.

Finally, in early August, Ewers appeared in commercials for Hulu that were promoted nationally.
All the while, Ewers has maintained his status as the leader of the Longhorns and earned praise from head coach Steve Sarkisian in the process.
“I think naturally Quinn’s understanding schematically of what we’re doing is helpful because he’s almost an extension of us on the field,” Sarkisian said last week. “He can talk through things with players, a receiver based on a coverage — how he would like it to go and where a guy should be and in what spot. That just goes backs to Quinn’s leadership and his maturation. Not the player, but the person.”

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV) by combining Roster Value and NIL. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation establishes the overall NIL market and projected 12-month growth rate for an Athlete by measuring two categories: Roster Value and NIL.
