Ewers is joined by Michigan’s Donovan Edwards and Colorado’s Travis Hunter on the cover of the regular addition and all three prominently featured on the deluxe edition.
“To represent the burnt orange on the real and virtual gridirons is such an honor. EA SPORTS games were the first place I lived out my childhood dream of playing for the Longhorns, so it’s a full-circle moment to now be on the cover of College Football 25,” said Ewers.
Texas and USC are tied for the second-most cover athletes on EA Sports’ college football video game. Michigan leads with four in Charles Woodson on NCAA Football 99, Desmond Howard on NCAA Football 06, Denard Robinson on NCAA Football 14, and Edwards on this year’s edition. Texas cover athletes include Williams on NCAA Football 2000, Brian Orakpo on the Playstation 2 cover of NCAA Football 10, and Ewers on the most recent edition.
USC, not featured on any of the covers of College Football 25, had Carson Palmer on NCAA Football 04, Reggie Bush on NCAA Football 07, and Mark Sanchez on the Playstation Portable edition of NCAA Football 10.
