Raheem Morris, Ed Orgeron highlight guest speakers at Texas' Coaches Clinic

Texas has long hosted a coaching clinic, where high school coaches from around the state and country journey to Austin to learn from members of the Longhorns coaching staff. Steve Sarkisian will be one featured speaker, and two of his friends in football are scheduled to speak as well.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris is scheduled to be the headline speaker. Morris, who previously was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, worked with Sarkisian on Dan Quinn‘s Falcons staff during Sark’s NFL stop in 2017 and 2018. The Falcons were 8-9 during his first year in charge of Atlanta, finishing second to Tampa Bay in the NFC South. Morris and Sarkisian also share a close friend in Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay. Morris was the Rams defensive coordinator in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He’s won two Super Bowls as a professional coach.
Morris won’t be the only former coworker of Sarkisian’s speaking. Former LSU head coach and 2019 national champion Ed Orgeron is scheduled to speak. Orgeron, who has been out of coaching since 2021, was head coach at Ole Miss from 2005 to 2007 and functioned as an interim head coach for USC following the dismissal of Lane Kiffin. Sarkisian and Orgeron worked together on Pete Carroll‘s USC staff from 2001 to 2004.

He had a brief two-year stop with the Indianapolis Colts and a two-year break in 2014 and 2015. He was part of five Super Bowl winning teams in New England won under Bill Belichick.
Rizzi is currently the special teams coordinator and assistant head coach for the Denver Broncos. He was the New Orleans Saints interim head coach in 2024 after Dennis Allen was fired. He also has experience with the Miami Dolphins and was head coach of Rhode Island for one season in 2008. He had several seasons of overlap at Rutgers with Kyle Flood under Greg Schiano.
