Raulerson to transfer

AUSTIN — Citing irreconcilable differences and the need for a change of scenery, redshirt sophomore Jake Raulerson has decided to transfer. A back-up who saw more action last year than this season, Raulerson will graduate in the spring and then join another team while pursuing his masters degree. Raulerson has two years of eligibility remaining.
Highly coveted out of Celina High School, the now 6-foot-5, 300 pound center should have little trouble finding a new home.

With Taylor Doyle’s eligibility clock striking midnight, the Texas coaching staff will need to find not only a starter, but also depth this spring. Some candidates include Patrick Vahe, Garrett Thomas, Terrell Cuney and perhaps even some yet-to-be-signed freshmen.
With the demands of the position being cerebral as much as physical, lack of experience will be a negative heading into next season no matter what.
Excited for the next chapter in my life. Thankful for the University of Texas for everything! pic.twitter.com/HZXn7VHQN1
