Top RB Ezavier Crowell Visits Austin: Crowell, a 2026 RB reclassified from 2027, is in Austin for an unofficial visit despite prior interest in Auburn and Alabama. Chad Scott, the new running backs coach, is working to re-engage Crowell, showcasing Texas’ RB production history with stars like Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson.

5-Star TE Mark Bowman Trends Towards Texas: Bowman, formerly class of 2027 and now 2026, is a priority for Texas. His ties to the state and positive relationship with Jeff Banks put Texas in a leading position over competitors like USC and Oregon.

Edge Recruiting Focus on Richard Wesley and JaReylan McCoy: Wesley, from California, and McCoy, from Mississippi, are top targets. Wesley, a reclassified 2026 player, is open to many schools, while McCoy, who initially considered Texas A&M, now has Texas high on his list, with an official visit scheduled for June.

Jalen Lott Legacy Decision Pending: The 2026 CB from Frisco Panther Creek, with Texas Longhorns lineage, was close to committing but the coaching change caused uncertainty. Oregon is currently leading, but Lott’s upcoming Texas Relays visit may sway his decision.

Practice Visits Crucial for Recruits: Recruits like Bowman, Crowell, and Lott are eager to observe Texas practices to gauge their potential fit and visualize life as a Longhorn.

Texas Relays and Unofficial Visits: Several top recruits participating in Texas Relays may visit Texas’ football facilities, giving the staff an opportunity to showcase the program firsthand.
