Marion came to Texas from Pittsburgh, where he coached 2021 Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison. He also is known for his unique “Go-Go” offense, which he coordinated to help Howard pull off one of the largest upsets in history when the Bison defeated UNLV 43-40 in 2017.
Previous stops for Marion include a spell in Hawaii as wide receivers coach, at William & Mary as offensive coordinator, the previously mentioned stop at Howard, and at Oklahoma Baptist University. He also was a high school coach in Pennsylvania and California.
Marion was a productive receiver during his playing days at Tulsa. He compiled 2,356 yards on 82 receptions with 19 touchdowns. He was a two-time All-Conference USA selection and the 2007 C-USA Newcomer of the Year. Marion set NCAA records in both yards per catch in a season with a mark of 31.9 in 2007 and career with 28.7.

Odom, a defensive minded coach, was named head coach at UNLV on December 6. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Arkansas, where his 3-3-5 defense helped the Razorbacks to 15 wins over the past two seasons. Odom was previously the head coach at Missouri, where he was 25-25.
