One of the Texas dates revealed by Low was when the Longhorns are slated to host the Georgia Bulldogs. That game is reportedly set for October 19, 2024 in Austin, Texas. That is likely to be one week after the Red River Shootout in Dallas should it stay on its traditional second Saturday of October spot.
Texas’ trip to Arkansas was reported to be scheduled for November 16. The Longhorns last trekked to Fayetteville in 2021, an ill-fated game where the Longhorns lost 40-21 and were dominated by the Razorbacks.
Finally, the renewal of the rivalry between Texas and Texas A&M was scheduled for November 30. That is two days after Thanksgiving, keeping the game on its traditional weekend but placing it on Saturday for the first time since 1995, when the Longhorns defeated the Aggies 16-6 in College Station on Saturday, December 2. Each game following the final game between the two teams as Southwest Conference members were either on the day after Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving itself.

The most recent matchup between the two teams was on Thanksgiving in 2011, when Justin Tucker hit a game-winning field goal as time expired to defeat the Aggies by a score of 27-25.
The SEC is scheduled to unveil the full 2024 schedule sometime in December. During their first year as members of the SEC, the Longhorns are also scheduled to host Florida, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. The Longhorns will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, and will make a trip to face the Vanderbilt Commodores in addition to the aforementioned rivalry games.
Texas’ non-conference schedule includes home games versus Colorado State, UTSA, and ULM, plus a road game at Michigan.
