2026 Spring (Texas) Klein interior offensive lineman Nicolas Robertson committed to Texas today while visiting for a spring practice. The commitment had been in the works for a while. The only other credible threat to Kyle Flood landing his first offensive line commit of the season was Texas A&M. Robertson visited the Aggies earlier this year for their Junior Day.

Robertson, a four-star, might be flying under the radar but he fits exactly what the staff is looking for in the interior O-line — someone who can move people and create space in the downhill running game. Robertson is a wide, athletic load at 6-foot-3, 330 pounds. He’s athletic enough, in fact, that he plays left tackle for Klein but he clearly profiles to the interior.

A couple of points are important to make. Flood does not target offensive lineman he doesn’t believe have the physical and athletic ability to make it to the NFL. Another key point, Robertson was offered after camping at Texas on June 1. That means, Flood has up close and personal experience with not only sizing Robertson up and seeing how he moves, but also seeing how coachable he is.

In addition to the Texas offer, Robertson holds A&M, LSU, Alabama, USC, Arkansas, and Penn State. There’s an apparent disconnect between the opinions on Robertson between the coaches and the networks.

It’s not often Flood takes an offensive lineman this early in the cycle.
