The Longhorns reached the program’s first Final Four since 2003 this year thanks in large part to the return to form from point guard Rori Harmon after she sustained an ACL injury during the 2022-23 season. And for 2025-26, Harmon is returning again. This time, it’s to the 40 Acres for another season.

Harmon, a product of Houston (Texas) Cy-Creek, will play using a medical redshirt. Harmon has started 117 of 119 career games. During the Longhorns’ run to the national semifinals in 2025, Harmon averaged 9.4 points, 6.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals in 30 minutes per contest. She shot 38 percent from the field, 39 percent from three, and 74 percent from the line.

Harmon is already a member of the 1000-point club and has been a critical catalyst for Vic Schaefer’s offense during her Longhorn career. As a Longhorn, Harmon has averaged 10.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.5 rebounds on 40 percent shooting. She’s also been a major factor on the Texas defense, averaging 2.4 steals per game.

As a freshman in 2021-22, she was the Big 12 freshman of the year, an All-Big 12 second team selection, an All-Big 12 defensive and freshman team selection, and an honorable mention All-American. In 2022-23, she was Big 12 defensive player of the year and a first-team all-conference selection.

During the Longhorns’ first season in the SEC, Harmon was named to the league’s All-Defensive team. Texas won a share of the SEC regular season title and finished as runner-up in the SEC Tournament. In her career, she has made three Elite Eights, won two Big 12 tournament titles, a Big 12 regular season title, and an SEC regular season title.
